«Colour Charts Of The Domestic Envrionment» is the result of reserach I started in 2005 when I first moved to Amsterdam. The first chart was based upon colour swatches taken from photographed objects of my own new domestic space and organized in a colour scheme. This resulted in a new and subjective colour nomenclature.
Afterwards, for an art Exhibition, I made three new colour charts based on the domesticity of three Colombian artists living in Amsterdam.
This lead to a triptych chart and 188 new colours in total. I’m planning to keep extending this collection in the future and explore new and different approaches and applications.
